Motivation |
It is a technique to make people work by encouraging them to work independently and empowering them in decision making. Motivations can be Intrinsic or Extrinsic.
Intrinsic Motivation – This type of motivation is specific to an individual. Usually, cultural and religious influences are related to intrinsic motivations.
Extrinsic Motivation – This is related to material benefits received in the form of employee bonuses, company vehicles, houses, medical benefits, training opportunities, preferred work location, roles, responsibilities, salary hikes, and other forms of rewards and recognitions. These types of motivators are often used by the Project Manager to influence the team to work more effectively and produce better results.
