Practice Test – Question Bank (PMP Certification Test)

The PMP Certification Test can be taken online or paper-based. It is advised to take it online / computer-based since the evaluation is straightforward and quick i.e. you can see your results right in front of your screen after you finish your test whereas you have to wait for weeks in case of the paper-based test. 

There will be a total 180 questions to be answered in 230 minutes. Out of 180 questions, 5 questions are pre-test questions and are not scored whereas the remaining 175 questions are scored. But, as an exam taker, you will have no idea about which question is of what type, and you are advised to answer all questions.

There will be no negative marking. But it is a psychometric test. The difficulty level of the next questions will vary based on the response to the previous questions.

You will get two 10-minute breaks. 

You can get multiple choice questions (with one or more correct answers), fill in the blanks questions, drag-and-drop questions (match the columns), and hot area questions where you will be interacting with a picture and clicking on the relevant places of the picture.

Almost half of the questions will be from the Predictive (Waterfall) Methodology-based project management and the remaining half will be from Agile and Hybrid Model-based project management. You are advised to focus your study accordingly.

The vast majority of the questions will be situational where you will be required to give practical thought to them rather than going bookish.

You will face several numerical questions primarily related to effort, schedule, and cost management. They might be pretty intimidating but if prepared well they are extremely scoring and help you pave your way to becoming the PMP.

The questions will come from 3 domains as per the following breakdowns.
