Prototype
A prototype is an early, rough version of a product, service, or system that is made so that its design, functionality, and viability can be tested and evaluated. Prototyping is an important part of the product development process. It helps designers and engineers find potential problems, improve the user experience, and fine-tune the final product design.
Prototypes can be made in many ways, from physical models and mockups to digital simulations and software demos. The type of prototype made depends on the product or system being made and what the design team wants to achieve. For example, a new piece of furniture might have a physical prototype, while a new app or website might have a digital prototype.
Creating a prototype is often an iterative process in which designers and engineers make changes to the prototype based on feedback from users and testing. Once the prototype is finished and polished, it can be used as a plan for mass production or development of the final product or system.
