Product Brekdwn Structure (PBS)
A product breakdown structure (PBS) is a way to break a product down into its parts or elements in a hierarchical way. It is a tool used in project management and product development to break down a product into its parts, making it easier to understand, design, build, and manage.
The PBS is usually set up like a tree, with the product or system at the top and its subsystems, parts, and components at the lower levels. Each level is broken down into smaller, more specific parts until the last level, which is made up of the parts or items themselves.
The product breakdown structure helps people understand what the product is made of and how its parts work together. It helps with project management and product development because it makes it easier to understand the size and scope of a project as well as the time and money needed to finish each part.
