Enterprise Environmental Factors
Enterprise Environmental Factors, or EEFs, are the internal and external factors that affect the way a project is managed and the results it produces. These things can be real, social, cultural, political, or technical, and their effects on a project can be good or bad.
Some examples of EEFs are:
Organizational style and structure
Laws and rules made by the government
Conditions on the market and economic trends
Interests and hopes of stakeholders
Technology equipment that already exists
Funding and tools that are available
Information and knowledge management methods from the past
Think about geography and the surroundings.
Labor and union standards
There are social and moral concerns.
It is important for project managers to find and analyze EEFs because they can have a big impact on how well a project turns out. When project managers understand the EEFs, they can better handle the risks, possibilities, and limitations of a project and change their method to fit.
