Trend Analysis

Trend Analysis is a statistical method used to find and study patterns and changes in data over time. It is often used in finance, economics, marketing, and other fields to find trends and patterns in different data sets and make predictions about them.

It is the process of looking at a series of data over time to find patterns like up or down trends, cycles, and seasonal changes. Usually, it involves putting the data on a graph over time and looking at the overall trend and any changes in the data.

A number of statistical methods, such as linear regression, moving averages, and exponential smoothing, can be used to analyse trends. These methods can help you find the underlying trend in the data and predict what the values will be in the future.

It is used in planning and forecasting of efforts and schedule
