DevOps is a set of practises that bring together software development (called “Dev”) and IT operations (called “Ops”) to improve how well these two departments work together and talk to each other. DevOps aims to shorten the development lifecycle and increase the number of deployments while making sure that the software being delivered is stable, reliable, and safe.

In a DevOps environment, developers and operations teams work closely together throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from designing and building to testing, deploying, and maintaining. Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) is made possible by this collaboration. This makes it easier to get new features and updates to customers faster.

DevOps practises also use automation tools and methods like infrastructure as code (IAC) and continuous monitoring to make the development and deployment processes more efficient and reliable. By using DevOps practises, companies can make themselves more flexible, responsive, and able to come up with new ideas in today’s fast-paced and competitive business world.
