How many of you have ever used the hundreds of Tools available in PMP? How many of you found it difficult or rather terrible. How many of you found it exhaustive. I am sure many. I am not surprised.
There are around 138 important tools and techniques in PMP, as laid down by PMBOK 6.0 guide. Each of them may belong to one or more of the 10 Knowledge Areas. As if that was not enough, they can belong one or more of the 5 Process Groups.
We are not done yet, each tool can take multiple Inputs. Each of them can produce one or more Outputs. And each of them can be used for one or more activities. With a back-of-the-envelope calculation, I can say the tools can have 5,000 varieties of unique uses of the tools.
As funny, as it may sound, it becomes a nightmare to the PMP aspirants who are going to write the PMP Certification Test. There are two challenges in PMP test – mathematical questions and Tools based questions. So the knowledge of tools or lack thereof takes a fair share of the burden to decide whether someone is going to qualify the PMP test.
What if you are a PMP certified project manager? Well, you happen to selectively avoid the usage of the tools after you are done with the gigantic task of receiving your certification and being branded as the PMP certified manager or use it as sparingly as it can suit your common sense; nevertheless, it sounds more bookish to you to grasp an use the tools. Well, I don’t blame you.
What if I tell you, there is a way out. What if you, you don’t require to struggle anymore. I have removed the complexity of its usefulness by telling you how can you master it. I will tell you which Knowledge Area you should use it. I will also tell you what Inputs you have to provide. I will tell you when you will use it. It sounds too good to be true, especially if you are preparing for the PMP Certification Test.
Well, not anymore. I have built software for doing all the heavy lifting so that it would be a breeze to master the PMP tools and qualify PMP or use them effectively if you are already a PMP. You can watch the trailer here. You can see the complete list of Tools here.
