Secondary risks in project management are new problems that arise as a result of the remedies you put in place to deal with the initial risks. Assume you’re repairing a leaky roof; the secondary danger is accidently harming the ceiling while doing so. When you try to handle one problem or risk in a project, it might occasionally produce new ones that you didn’t foresee, such as delays or increased expenses. These secondary risks arise as a result of dealing with the initial hazards, and they must be addressed to ensure that they do not create greater problems than the original problem. It’s like trying to remedy one problem and inadvertently causing another.
