In project management, a “lag” is like a pause or delay between two tasks, similar to waiting a certain amount of time before starting the next step in a process. It’s like putting a gap between actions, whether it’s waiting for something to dry before painting another coat or giving time for a team to review before moving forward. Lags control the timing between tasks, determining when the next task should start after the previous one finishes. They’re a bit like intervals or breaks, making sure that everything progresses smoothly without rushing or waiting too long between steps.
