What is Conformance?

In project management, conformance is a fancy way of stating “meeting the standards.” It is about ensuring that your actions are consistent with the rules and expectations established for your project. It’s similar to following a recipe while baking a cake. To produce the perfect cake, use the proper ingredients and follow the directions exactly. Similarly, there are standards and norms in a project, and complying involves adhering to those regulations in order to succeed.
