What is a RACI Chart?
A RACI Chart in project management is similar to a team map in that it specifies who is responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed for each job or activity within a project, much like establishing roles in a play to ensure everyone understands their position. RACI is an acronym that stands for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed. It’s a grid or chart that shows who does the job (Responsible), who ensures the work is done (Accountable), who needs to be kept in the loop (Consulted), and who requires progress updates (Informed). This chart assists teams in clearly understanding their roles and duties, eliminating confusion and ensuring tasks are accomplished swiftly and successfully.
