A stakeholder in project management is someone who may impact or is affected by your project. Consider preparing a surprise party: the stakeholders would include not just the person being surprised, but also the guests, the venue owner, and any neighbors who could hear the noise. Individuals, people, or organizations with an interest or “stake” in the success or result of your project are examples of stakeholders. They might be sponsors, team members, consumers, or anybody else whose actions, thoughts, or engagement can have an immediate or indirect influence on your project. It is critical to identify and understand these stakeholders since their support or concerns might have an impact on how smoothly your project goes.
