In project management, a project phase is equivalent to breaking down your project into separate chapters or sections, much like separating a book into portions. Each phase denotes a separate step or component of the project, complete with its own set of activities, goals, and outcomes. It’s similar to building a house, including phases such as planning, foundation, framing, and finishing. Before going on to the next phase, each phase marks a specific milestone or achievement, assisting in the management of the project step by step and ensuring that things flow smoothly from one stage to the next until the entire project is done.
