What is a Change Request (CR)?

Assume you’re building a treehouse and decide you want a slide linked to it. A change request in project management is similar. It is a formal means of requesting something different or new inside a project after it has already begun. A change request is a means to propose adjustments, additions, or corrections to the original design of a project, much like you would formally request adding a slide to your treehouse plan. Before determining whether or not to proceed, the team reviews it to determine if it is viable and how it would influence the project.
