The Risk Threshold is similar to establishing a safety line or a threshold for how much risk you’re willing to accept in a project. Consider it your comfortable limit, similar to understanding how much hot food you can eat without being nauseous. Simply said, it is the amount of risk that a project team or organization is willing to accept or endure. If a danger exceeds this level, it is deemed excessive and requires immediate attention or action. It assists project managers in understanding the acceptable amount of risk for their project, as well as when they must intervene to manage or reduce risks that exceed this limit.
