A Start to Finish (SF) Relationship is analogous to a baton handoff in a relay race, with the second runner finishing as the first runner begins to wrap up. In projects, this indicates that one work can only be completed when another activity begins. For example, if Task A is training new team members and Task B is the project review, Task B cannot end until Task A begins training. It is a method of linking tasks together, guaranteeing that the completion of one work is dependent on the commencement of another, allowing for a smooth flow in the project’s development.
